BAND OBSESSION: LORD HURON

My current band obsession is Lord Huron from Los Angeles. I've been on Lord Huron kick since I saw them play at Motr Pub in OTR back in September for the Midpoint Music Festival 2012. I really didn't know much about them other than I just recognize the name from a station on the radio. I was actually suppose to see a totally different band that night, but I kind of lost my group of friends I was with so I went to see them instead. I'm glad I did. By far one of my favorite performances from that festival. Just about everyday I've been listening to "Lonesome Dreams", their first album, on repeat. They have that type of sound that makes you want to hop in your car, put their album on and go on an adventure. To be honest, I couldn't pick just one song that I like. Each song off the album has a beautiful melody that I can't help getting lost into. I always find myself dancing around the house whenever I listen to them.

I'm definitely a fan of Lord Huron.

FREE PEOPLE SHORT FILM: ROSHAMBO

Have you seen this beautifully shot short film that Free People put together for their February Catalog?! I CAN'T STOP WATCHING. It stars the beautiful Sheila Marquez and the handsome Christopher Abbott from HBO's Girls. The film is about a guy and a girl who reconnected one day in New York City and they play a game of rock, paper, scissors (roshambo) to determine what happens next with them. When it end, it kept me asking for more. I want to know what happens next with the couple. Does he stay or does he go? I also want every outfit shown throughout the film in my closet pronto!

WELL, HELLO FEBRUARY

Wow! I can't believe it's Feburary and this is my first post for the new year. Ahh! Shows ya how busy I am or maybe it's how lazy I am. I'll go with the second statement. Lately, I've been so lazy this winter. Like all I wanna do is lay in bed, drink tea and read all day. I'll wake up, go to work, come home, eat, go to bed and start the same routine over again. I need to find more motviation, like going to the gym and stop being so lazy. 
 Anyways, I told myself that for 2013 I'm going to blog more and make something out of this blog. I've been wanting to start my own fashion/music inspire blog for years and I kind of started geting into it last summer, but then I just stopped. I really have no reason why I stopped blogging. I just stopped. So, starting today, February 5th, I'm going to give "Clara's Obsessions" more attention. To anyone who visits this blog, expect more posts coming up.
